Celine Dion's 1997 release LETS TALK ABOUT LOVE embraces you in a message of love. The album contains soft ballads, rock, movie themes, duets, and opera. The one song that hits me the most and has become my best favorite from the album is Track 14-TO LOVE YOU MORE. A passionate ballad with a very elegant violin opening, the song sorts of like a response to BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME in the previous release.
The producers of this album (Vito Luprano and John Doelp) have saved the best for last in the album. Track 15-LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE is sort of like the kind of song you'll hear in Olympics closing, like AMIGOS POR SIMPRE (Barcelona Games 1992). Celine is joined by a children choir in this heart-warming piece. Track 13-I HATE YOU THEN I LOVE YOU (duet with Luciano Pavarotti) will share the merit with LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE as my second favorite from the album. It's a beautiful opera song. As Celine has noted, Luciano is the greatest tenor in the world and she had been secretly hoping to sing a love song with him.
Speaking of popularity, everyone will agree that Track 12-MY HEAR WILL GO ON (theme from Titanic) is the most popular piece in this album. James Horner had do an incredible job on the music score for the film. The music is stunning, breathtaking, and heart-pounding. Cameron (Titanic director) originally did not want to have a vocal theme but instrmentals. After listening to Celine's demo of MY HEART WILL GO ON, Cameron adopted the song as the movie theme.
