Wow!1 You make the nicest warm & fuzzy stuff!! Your area is pretty nice too & I guess I'll have to win one of your lovely creations to take a road trip. one c never have to many blankets/afghans in the northern tier. I am sorry for your loss. Orange kitties are the best for sure and he looks so well loved & cared for =^..^=

Thanks! I love to crochet, relaxing! Yes Prince was a sweetie. Always slept with me when my husband worked nights. Last 4th of July he sat in the window and watched the whole thing! We live about 6 blocks away from where they were shooting them off.

Do you make granny square by any chance? I love the pattern as it is so versitile. The storms are rolling in right now & can't sleep. I watched the first of the 5 tornados here form out my front window less than a mile down the road last year. No sirens any where or basements on the river either. Trippy .....My orange cat was loved to watch the fireworks & lightning too.

I would totally be flipping out with all the tornadoes! I'm better than I was as a child but still need somewhere to go. I think that's why I didn't like camping in storms. I also do granny square afghans. My 16 year old son has one on his bed now made with scraps. I'll have to see if I can find some and pull them out.

Very nice and large enough for a queen size bed topper.

NOTE: I measured wrong. The afghan is only 33" wide. Sorry for the confusion! Kay

It would be good for twin bed or a couch where you have dark curtains with a yellow gold pattern running through them where you wanted to pull the room together. The yellows would draw the gold in the curtains and not only brighten but pull it together.
I happen to have burgundy curtains with traces of a yellow/gold pattern in our den. I am thinking on it.
