Just want to make sure I understand. If I win this auction, I would then send you 2 44 cent stamps? That would cost me 3 - 44 cent stamps counting the one on the envelope sent? Am I missing something?

If you don't want it, then just don't bid on it. Its that simple.
It all adds up when you have a ton of auctions with free shipping, even those that cost less than a dollar. I simply can't offer free shipping anymore.....
