Hello I was wondering the difference between the two cords is, if any. Is one for answering the phone and the other for playing and stopping music?

I believe you connect one cord to your music player and one to your phone then when you get a call while you are listening to music all u do is push a button and answer your phone and talk into the mic and listen through the headphones.
