Description

The listing, Silicone Mold For Resin UTEE Hot Glue Clay has ended.

Brand new in package Mod Mold Travel by Mod Podge. About 3 3/4" square with 5 images you can mold out of a variety of mediums - I ordered 2 by error . I have used mine with hot glue, resin and clay and made my own embellishments for scrapbooking and handmade card making as well as for jewelry making for pendants and earrings . I have used the plane and globe and compass on steampunk projects and the Eiffel Tower on a Victorian vintage style book and they turned out clean and crisp. Pour in your mixed resin, or hot glue / melted UTEE and after it sets and hardens you can either leave them natural color or paint with acrylic or enamel paints or for the resin too I have used TimHoltz Adirondack alcohol inks and these images go great with so many of today's products and Sizzix and other dies for backgrounds. Nonsmoking household.

So, you can use just regular old hot glue in these, right? Not any special kind? Just want to make sure. I wouldn't want to mess up the mold!!

Yep :) and then paint it or whatever ... and you can use it for clay and resin too :) -- I had to play with the hot glue a couple times before I realized you have to work sort of fast so it doesn't dry before you get it where you want it in the nooks and crannies - I sort of bend the mold a little to get it in there good. Modpodge does make a special hot glue that I've heard dries a little harder but I've only used the cheap sticks from Walmart lol -- but for those PERFECT hard crisp embellishments, it's always more fulfilling to use resin ... once you do, you might find you're a resin junky :D

Good to know. I have always wanted to try resin, so this will give me a good excuse!! lol But they'd also be fun with my Paper Clay (love that stuff, it's so light and easy to mold)...so many possibilities!! ;)

hmmm good idea! they're a flexible silicone, can withstand high temps ... I would think they could be used for that -- I haven't made soap before but my GUESS is yes, they would be tiny decorative soaps but fun for gifts!
