Because I have nothing to do with acids and it's not worth the money to me to have it checked, I would be spending money on something I am giving away because I don't want it.Yes ,I have a diamond tester I got in a box of yardsale items.And I don't care how many credits it goes for, that is why I listed it.And I will leave that to the winner to do if they want. Thank you for the answer I understand completely for your FYI I have a simple solution for Silver it does not work for Gold. It's a Silver cleaning Cloth available at a jewelry store I bought mine for 8.99. Basically if it is silver you will see the tarnish disappear from the ring and be visible on the cloth and this information was give to me by a jeweler who also is a friend.
Back to the auction It is a very pretty ring thank you for offering it!

Hi - I don't have any cleaners and they are chemicals so I try to avoid them and really can't afford anything hardly at the moment , but there is no tarnish on this ring, that's why I can't be sure of the metal.Ty
