Imagine my surprise, harvesting my first pumpkin on August 3rd. Got five giant pumpkin seeds from a neighbor last year and have 3 plants in my garden, all doing well. The best is the one pictured along with the first pumpkin harvested. It has at least 11 pumpkins on it and the plant measures 24 ft. x 19 ft.. Will all be enormous by Halloween... many bigger than the one pictured.
Will send you 10 seeds from my first picked pumpkin - and if you pick up locally I'll give you a ripe pumpkin, too. This giant pumpkin plant needs lots of water and room to grow. The one pictured has grown so wildly it has spilled over into a neighbor's yard. Great "wow" factor when you show it to kids and we will be supplying pumpkins to all our friends for Halloween. You can toast the seeds, too, just in case you haven't tried that. Yum!!!
UPDATED PHOTO SHOWS ME WITH TWO OF THE THREE GIANT PUMPKINS HARVESTED....AND ALSO ONE OF MY OTHER, "REGULAR SIZED" PUMPKINS....FROM DIFFERENT SEED.
