I wanted to let you know that if the magazine contains advertisements, they technically don't qualify as media mail. If you were to send it as media mail, and the post office was to inspect the package, it's possible they may charge the difference in price to the winner (or send it back to you because it doesn't have enough postage).

Thanks for the info...I thought that rule only pertained to current advertisements....seeing as how these are from 98' the advertisements in the magazines aren't valid any longer. Thank you again.
Nope, unfortunately is advertisements of any kind (it's happened to me with a comic from the 80's, luckily it was returned to me with postage due instead of arriving to the winner postage due).
