The listing, Uncanny-X-Men 143 Kitty Pryde Wolverine Last John Byrne Art Marvel Comics 1980 FINE 6.5 has ended.
As "Iconic" an issue as it gets! this Uncanny X-MEN issue heralded the end of the old "Age of Comicdom", and of the intricate art and story lines (and low prices!) that made comics something you could count on to help your kids read!
Notice the cover does not say "Uncanny" but it is called the "Merry Christmas Issue"!
Razor sharp spine with shiney TIGHT staples hold this SUPER-GLOSSY wonder together! Firmly, like...forever?!
The gloss emanating from this uncanny hurts ya eyes dear reader! Cream pages are not brittle in the least and in good light, which i dont have..im still using the old incandescents, youll see that the back of the issue is devoid of any "Soiling" that you usually see in this area!
Ok, thats the GREAT part! The bottom edge of the cover is not bent or folded but it was very lightly 'scuffed" as you can see leaving a few tiny ..and I DO mean tiny (maybe 1/16 inch) little spots of color. Kitty's pretty right knee also appears to be "Wounded' with a small 1/8 inch scuff, you can see it ALL as i take VERY detailed photos! ANYONE can call a comic a 6.5 or a FINE as this is BUT are they willing to photograph EVERYTHING?
Dear friends i ask you how many Uncanny 143's in this glorious condition will YOU EVER BE ABLE TO BUY WITH JUST "CREDITS"...IN YOUR LIFE? Think about that one!
Meanwhile i want you to BID, and then BID AGAIN....because although i have a few more of these "Wonders of the end of the Silver Age"...I wont be parting WITH them, not this cheaply anyway!
This is the last Uncanny X-Men #143 to be auctioned off by me on listia! Catch this one, youll fall in love with Kitty Pryde all over again!
Study the photos carefully and also enjoy the fact that I will be delivering this FREE to your door!
Have fun friends!
