The listing, Premier Stone Clay - Air Dry - Lightweight and Fresh! Destash 10oz/300g has ended.
Getting rid of this clay because I haven't had time to play with it! It's only a few months old, so it's still fresh and pliable in its unopened pack.
This clay is popular for art and ball-jointed dolls.Because it dries lightweight, you can also use it to make pendants, beads, and scrapbooking embellishments.
Hi, Forgive my being naive about this, I just wanted to know that if this has to be baked or does it just air dry and also can it be painted and sealed?? I never done any of this but I would love to start and just wanted to ask someone who's worked with it, also is the other one you have up for auction , can it air dry and not be baked...same questions as this one. Thank you so much :-)
No problem! I haven't used this clay yet, but I read up on it before I got it. Both of my clays are air dry, no need to bake them. Both should also be sealed. For the Creative Paperclay, you can just paint right on it. I've done this to pieces that are already several years old and look as good as I did the day I made them.
For the Premier, I have yet to use it. While I'm sure you can do the same thing, as the Creative Paperclay, most people talk about sanding it (and it looks like porcelain when smoothed out; you can also carve into it), then using acrylic (spray or paint-on-sealer) to seal it. I'm sure paint and sealers adhere just fine without sanding. OFC it all depends on the look you're going for.
You can also use watercolor paint to paint both of these clays! Just seal the finished bit with acrylic. Hope it helps!
