Description

The listing, 12x used Spanish ATM Postage Stamps has ended.

12 different used Spanish ATM postage stamps ("ATM" means "vending machine" in German and is short for Automatenmarken).

These were used in Spain approx. mid-1990's to 2007.

There are a variety of subjects on the stamps, including ships, trains, cars, motorcycles, buildings and others.

Condition: used (meaning that they are on paper will have some postal markings present).

You will receive 12 different stamps, counted out of the large lot shown in the photo (so no, you won't receive the entire box obviously; that box has close to 10,000 stamps in it and cost me quite a bit of money... since this box contains a lot of duplicates, I am passing these on via Listia). There are approx. 120+ different designs available in this series of stamps, in up to 6 different font variations, so the possibility of a complete collection is close to 1,000 different items). The German Michel ATM stamp catalog (which costs close to US $85.00) lists and values these stamps (and generally have a catalog value of Euro 1.50 to 2.00; about $1.95 to $2.60 each.

IMPORTANT NOTE: these particular type of stamps are all on clippings from envelopes or other mail pieces. It is strongly advised that you do NOT attempt to soak these off the paper. The inks on the stamps are fugitive (meaning they will dissolve in water, thus ruining the stamp if you soak them). It is recommend to collect them as is, perhaps carefully trimming the paper closer to the stamp.

I can't promise any particular design, I'll just pick the first 12 stamps out of the box.

I have created 111 album pages for these stamps (since there are no commercially available pages); this took me quite a few hours as you can imagine. I do have these pages for sale separately either as a PDF file (you print it) or via pre-printed pages (I print them as needed); if interested, please go to the bottom of my website at:

Cynthia,
I've got 111 pages as part of this. If using a inkjet printer, that could run down the available pages pretty quickly (even though there isn't that much to print, the printers simply count pages, even if it's only 1 dot per page...).
I use a color laser printer for the pages (and I use 28#, not 20# paper).
On one bottom of my sites, at http://photostamps.webs.com/atm.htm ,
there is a PayPal button for buying either the PDF file or the printed pages. It's about $45 postpaid in the USA. I just checked, and the US Postal Service wants over $20 to Canada for mailing these (as opposed to about $5.60 within the USA)... so that would put the price up a bit higher, to almost $60. But that's still cheap. I've seen pages from a European company for these, and it would probably cost well over $120... All pre-printed album pages are expensive. For people collecting worldwide stamps, full sets of the better albums can cost thousands. One of the main suppliers of regular stamp albums Subway Stamp Company in Pennsylvania has albums, the price for a Canadian album (through 2012 stamps) is over $100.

I usually only do the pages for the Spanish ATM stamps, as shipping a binder would make it more expensive (since it then would not fit into the priority mail flat-rate envelope... But basic binders are fairly inexpensive at any local office supply store...
