There is a place for a battery, so I guess the "hair" is fiberoptic, but I do not have the size battery it takes to check it out and see if it actually works. Either way its cool though.

it is fiber optic and works with a watch battery, i glued one on my bike helmet and ride with it on at night. awesome auction!
