Museum Replica~The Pillar Dollar, also known as "Piece of Eight" was minted in Mexico City and valued at 8 Reales. Along with its fractional parts, the 4.2 and 1 Real~It was the chief coinage of the American Colonists until 1857 and the forerunner of our own Silver Dollar.
Yes, I bought it in St. Augustine 30 years ago at a Museum. Don't know much about it other than what it says on the back. Maybe someone else will know more or add it to their collection.
$463.12~at the Museum. Yep I have had it over 30 yrs along with alot of other Coins I have collected over the years. I will be listing more after the ones I have on here go to new homes.
