Description

The listing, Fabric for Quilters! Very pretty! has ended.

Pretty fabrics, purchased for quilting - but I never got around to teaching myself how to quilt! Oh well....my loss is your gain!

Each piece is 1/4 yard, has been stored in plastic baggie and living in my sewing box. Purchased in 2008 and I still have the Hobby Lobby receipt!

Smoke-free home but I have indoor pets - although fabric should be fur free since it's been bagged and stored.

FREE shipping in USA, sorry no Canada or internationals. I use the USPS and will send confirmation # to winner so the package can be tracked on-line.

Winner must contact me within ten days of auction close or I will re-list, keep credits and leave negative feedback.

you are funny. I made one quilt on my lunchbreaks. I call it my lunchbreak quilt. I would take each block in a zip lock bag to work and spent a few minutes every day doing the hand applique. I slowly did one block at a time and then was able to slowly stitch the rest when I had time. It still took 6 mos to do the top; but, I felt a lot of satisfaction. Quilts are not for people who are in a hurry to complete, eh? lol
I would luv to meet your friend :-)

My friend is a wonderful woman. I pray to be as excited about life when I'm her age! Her husband is 90 and they are a beautiful couple, been married over 60 years, filled with faith in the Lord, and they have a wonderful family and great-grandkids, the works!

Maybe one of these days I'll get brave and try quilting!

Fanned you. Quilting is very relaxing. Hopefully one day you will have the time to learn. Beautiful lot.

I am watching, fanned and bidding. May I make a suggestion? Go to the library and look for a book by Georgia Bonsteel called 'Lap Quilting'. I taught myself to quilt by reading her books. She takes you through doing one block at a time and strip quilting. It is good for someone who is just learning. Quilt classes can be overwhelming since there are so many people in the classes with different degrees of experience. Wish you lived near me; I would have you come spend a few afternoons and teach you how !

I work at a library, so that book ought to be available for me! One of my best friends (she's in her 80s) quilts and has offered to teach me, I just think I'm too lazy LOL

Thx!

Nice auction! I learned by watching Georgia Bonesteel on Public Tv ! I could take a block at a time with me all over and quilted a quilt while raising 2 babies 15 months apart. She made it so easy. The library would have access to those videos.

Thanks!

I checked our library website and we have THREE books by Georgia Bonesteel! I wrote her name down and will check her out.
