Once you redeem your code to your VUDU account it will add it to your library and next to the HDX version it will be checked off as own, meaning the day it's available on DVD it will be available to watch. But until then it will remain in your library as a title that is owned. I have photos shown of the copy in my own library so you can see how it appears.

Maleficent is scheduled to be released this fall. The VUDU preorder will let you watch the movie BEFORE the DVD/Blu Ray comes out in stores.
