Thank you for clarification. I thought anything over 50 yrs was antique and over 20 vintage. Thank you for your help. Spell check doesn't help either. Just so you know, I couldn't change the title. It is a cool piece no matter how old it us, but again thank you for the information. Lynn
I know, it is so cute, sorry it is not considered an antique, but kept long enough it will be. It is in great condition so a plus for any collection. Thank you for bidding, Lynn
Vintage Jewelry Jewelry should be at least 20 years old to be classified as vintage. For instance, jewelry from the ‘80s could be called vintage, but jewelry from the ‘90s would not be. “The term vintage can be applied to most jewelry pieces that are less than 100 years in age. However, vintage has been defined loosely by dealers today because many items can be considered collectible. Basically, it’s a piece that’s not new or modern,” says Cohen. Jewelry from the Art Deco and Mid Century design periods are also considered vintage. Also to note, vintage jewelry cannot be made. Using vintage parts like beads to create jewelry doesn’t classify it as vintage. when it comes to other items 100 years or older is Antique. A lot of dealers would like to see 50 years or older. Your coca cola item is a collectible. There are a lot of coca cola collecters
Very informative, thank you for clearing it up for me. I have another lunchbox that I haven't put up yet because I don't know how to list it, but it is not 100 yrs old so I will call it very old vintage. Thank you, Lynn
Don't care the age. Antique/Vintage doesn't matter to me. Coke is what drew me in and made me bid. Quite honestly don't understand the lesson on jewelry for a lunchbox. lol
