Description

The listing, Adenium Desert Rose Seedling has ended.

If you have ever wanted to try bonsai, Adenium, or Desert Rose is a good one to start with, or stay with for that matter. It is a hardy plant. I live in Southwest Florida, but we had several days last winter that the temp dropped to 28 degrees and my 3 year old plant made it just fine sitting in a pot by the koi pond all winter. The mother plant has flowers as pictured, but these were grown from seed, so it could flower differently, but I have never been disappointed, it's going to be beautiful. You will be getting a healthy seedling that will quickly develop a nice fat caudex, and make a gorgeous addition to your collection.

Silly question but I know nothing about these types of plants. Does it have to be planted in special soil? How will you be shipping it so it is safe? What size is the seedling? Again, sorry for all the questions.

It is a small but sturdy seedling, approx 1 inch tall. I have mine planted in Miracle Gro organic potting mix. I ship priority mail and pack as carefully as I can.

You would need to bring it inside when temps are below 40 degrees for any length of time. When you bring it inside, keep watering to a minimum and it will go dormant until the weather warms up again. It's really tougher than it sounds. I have never successfully killed one!
