Yes, it has light thin backpack straps on the back but can be just carried like a regular purse as well.

See the long brown zipper? If you have the backpack purse on your back, you can just reach behind you and unzip it and reach in for what you want.

OR if you are carrying it as a purse, same thing, instead of opening the drawstring top, you can open it in the middle utilzing the zipper. REALLY COOL!
