Description

The listing, Numismatic Coin; Canada; 5 cent; 1967; “Hopping Rabbit’ Confederation Centennial; uncirculated has ended.

Thank you for browsing.

If you’ve seen my other auctions, you’ll know I have an affinity (obsession) for the 1967 Canadian “Hopping Rabbit” nickel. So, when an opportunity arose to acquire a mint roll of them came up - I just couldn’t resist. As this was all inspired by a fellow Listian so, I thought I would share. :-)

The winner of this auction will receive one (1) 1967 Canadian 5 cent (nickel) coin - freshly removed from a mint roll (4th pic) - this is the first coin removed from the roll. This coin is in uncirculated condition; has a metal composition of 99.9% nickel; diameter of 21.21mm; weight 4.54 grams. As the reverse of this coin was ‘exposed’ at the end of the roll, there may be a slight difference in brilliance between the obverse and reverse (refer to 2nd and 3rd pics for comparison).

Despite what my friends and I believed (wished), when we were wee boys, there is absolutely no scientific evidence that this coin will bring you fame, fortune or Farrah Fawcett. ;-) But then, there’s no proof that it won’t either. Maybe, fresh from the roll, these coins will be full of luck...

PLEASE NOTE - You will receive the exact coin shown in the photos. This coin was from the end of the roll (5th pic) and there may be a slight difference in the brilliance of the reverse. Mention of “fame, fortune and FF” for entertainment purposes only - no guarantee is implied or warranted by the seller. Coin easel NOT included.

Free shipping across the globe...well, at least, everywhere Canada Post ships to.

Cool that you have a whole role of them freshly minted!

Thank you. I haven't even pulled one (at least) out for myself. Freshly minted in 1967 - LOL - 'cause if they were just freshly minted...uh oh. ;-)

Thank you for your kind words. I give at least half the credit to the fellow Listian who's (bad) influence led to me decision to purchase. ;-)

Great auction and coin!! I too like the "long winded" approach, it's always better to give too much information than too little, and I for one, love it that way!!! It's an honor to Fan you and will be watching this one closely!! :-)

I've seen and READ a few of your auctions...which are Nice. I would suggest though, maybe you should keep it a bit more simple here on Listia. (or anywhere else for that matter) People like things simple....(though some would take defense and disagree....:)..but there's a time to be smart, and a time to just be one of the members....and this is one of those times, it's good just being one of the members...:)....just throwing it out there....constructively of course.....:).......Jim......P.S. and you know what?....it will save you a whole lot of time you may now waste, listing your items now.....:)

Thank you for your feedback. While I appreciate your thoughts, and after considering them carefully, I'm okay with the 'long-winded' auctions. :-) I would rather give more information than is necessary, even with the possibility of offending some, than give too little information and chance disappointment in the winner of the auction.

I'm definitely a 'member' (of the Listia family); I just happen to be one of those crazy 'members' who lives in the attic. ;-)
