Exactly.
Of course you would just put it in your pocket with some change for a month or two and wear the coin some.
It might help get rid of some of the small abrasive marks from the cleaning.
It would still be a higher grade.
But thats just my imagination playing.

Another note. If you do try and clean ask a professional how.
We will help you not ruin your coins.
I am going to guess the person who did this used baking soda......
Bad choice. It is gritty and can cause scratch marks.

Also if it is your first time. Do a coin that isn't worth over $100.
Try a generic coin that has the same metallic make up.

Good points jwood 1997.Most people just say "do not clean coins".It is okay to clean coins but it has to be done the right way without hurting its value.
