Are these a heavier cloth or something like a modern cotton blend?

Hi, some of them feel thicker just from the amount of thread embroidered in a small area on a light weight material . The applique style ones with open areas are light weight as they are sewn on satin fabric. Overall, I would rate these as " light to medium weight" as new modern ones are usually put on a glued type backing to make them feel thicker.
