I have been a knife collector for over 40 years now and just wanted to pass along some info on your knife. What the two other gentlemen were trying to tell you is that the knife you have pictured is NOT a tanto blade knife.
The number you stated as 1730 is the drop point blade and the 1730T is the actual "tanto" knife.
The tanto blade is cut off at an angle at the end on a strait line like a "samuri" sword.
You probably have the wrong box or paperwork { I'm assuming) that's calling it the "Tanto" version.
