Tomato seeds imported from France, were brought back by a friend who vacations their once a year. Heirloom/Hybrid. Winner receives 20+ of each type.
Tomate Marmande Features:
Color: red
Body type: medium tomato, flat, ribbed and sometimes irregular, curved to stalk . Weighing 150 to 300 g, size 67 to 85mm. Clusters April-May fruits. In high temp regions tomatoes do great in Fall plantings.
Flesh: full, consistent and very fragrant. Little resistance to bursting once mature.
Taste: sweet, aromatic.
Port: vigorous plant, productive.
Hardiness: fruit shape even at low temperatures.
Maturity: early, 55 to 65 days. Very early and very productive variety. Heirloom/Hybrid.
Usage: widely used for making stuffed tomatoes.
Now would be a great time to try growing some of these especially if you live in warmer climates, since they do well in cooler temperatures. By the time the plant starts to fruit the temps wont be too hot. Just give a nitrogen boost to your planting soil, such as aged cow manure, which will help stimulate the green growth.

This tomato makes a wonderful sauce. Heirloom Coeur De Boeuf Tomato is used widely in Italian Cuisine or in Mediterranean dishes with olive oil, and mozzarella. For a larger tomato it is quick to produce, approximately 70 Days until first harvest.
Allow for plenty of space, they will grow tall ~4ft give or take, likes rich hummus soil, fertilize with compost tea for best results.
