Ask your wife-are they true to size 8? Or are they a smaller size 8 or are they a bit larger than size 8??
What size does does your wife normal wear? You said these didn't for her comfortably- so were they too tight for her? Or too big on her normal size.

"They fit like a 7 1/2 just a bit bigger but it doesn;t look like they are quite an 8 , she wears a 7 1/2, she didn't like a leather shoe she has always worn the cross trainer type nike's" . That's what she just told me, they are heavier than she likes.
