This is an old amulet with a Celtic knot design on it suspended on an old heavy leather strap. It has an almost Gothic appeal to it.

your answer is on the board now. Can mean Power, Light, or Blessing. Depends on which faith or perspective. The trinity knot as well as the Pentacle have controversial meanings.

Depending on how you look at a Pentacle or Pentagram, good or bad, decides on its meaning. I am a descendant of the House of O'Grádhaigh, the keeper of Inis Cealtra (Holy Island). The Castle where St. Patrick was kept in Ireland. So, I choose view it as symbol of an "Irish Blessing." Others my view it as a power amulet or an amulet of light, but all five sides of the star are even, so it is not a demonic symbol by any means.
