Many years ago, a terrifying, fear-mongering being, known as the Devil, mercilessly ruled the world. Eventually, the human race revolted against his tyrannical reign, led by 12 Saints who were blessed with heavenly power. These sanctified Saints used an incantation of binding, which was found in a sacred text called the Holy Verses, to seal away the Devil forever. Fearing that the incantation could be used for malevolent purposes in future generations, the Saints erased all traces of their Sainthood from the annals of history and divided the Holy Verses into 12 equal sections amongst themselves. Throughout the ages, the separated fragments from the Holy Verses were passed down to the descendents of the original 12 Saints. Now, after 3,000 years of relentless searching, the Devil has located the whereabouts of the descendents who possess the much-sought-after Holy Verses. In order to ascertain the treasured texts, the Devil spawned three servants — Elaborate Death, Sadistic Torture and Humiliating Demise — and sent them into the mortal realm along with his daughter. All that remains to do now is collect the Holy Verses, exterminate any mortal who opposes and re-awaken the wrath of the Devil.

Follow the wicked mission of the dark heroine of Deception IV: Blood Ties — Laegrinna — as she navigates the human realm, gathering the Holy Verses. Laegrinna was birthed from a splintered-off fragment of the Devil's very own soul, and thus, possesses no pity, remorse or emotion. Her only focus is to break the seal that binds her father — the Devil. Accompanying Laegrinna are three Daemons, each embodying a different aspect of the Devil's unholiness and hatred. Veruza, the Daemon of Sadistic Torture, receives absolute pleasure and enjoyment in hearing the cries of humans in pain. When Veruza isn't torturing humans, she's otherwise bored and listless. Caelea, the Daemon of Elaborate Death, values the mission above all else, even her own sense of self, and encourages Laegrinna to honor the Devil's glory with spectacular displays. Lilia, the Daemon of Humiliating Demise, takes the form of an innocent-looking young child. Full of playfulness and laughter, Lilia performs pranks that strip humans of their dignity.
