Description

The listing, New Multi-Color Agate & Sterling Necklace + possible earrings to match has ended.

This is another one of the 23" necklaces I made that is agate & sterling silver. It has such beautiful colors. This is a heavy necklace, so if you only like dainty little jewelry, please don't bid on this one. This is a big bold statement. People won't miss this one on you. As always, I do combine shipping. If bids reach 1000, I will add matching earrings.
Agate is the Mystical birthstone for September. It is also the birth stone for the Zodiac sign of Gemini. Agates are found in all colors of the rainbow, although green and blue are quite rare.
Agate is a variety of chalcedony formed from layers of quartz which usually show varicolored bands. It usually occurs as rounded nodules or veins.
Often tiny quartz crystals form within the stone and add to the beauty and uniqueness of individual stones. Agate is found all over the world including: the Africa, Asia, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, and the USA.
The word Agate comes from the Greek name for a stone originally found in the Achates River in Sicily (currently known as Drillo River). Agate has been found with the remains of Stone Age man in France from as early as 20,000-16,000 B.C. and the Egyptians used agates prior to 3000 B.C. for talismans, amulets, seals, rings and vessels. Early civilizations used eye beads to protect them from evil and bring good luck. They created eye beads by carving a hole through an agate disc.

Thank-you! Keep an eye out for my auctions! I'm getting boring with the same kind and am going to start some new ones putting several things in an auction and see how that goes.

I'm going to start something new on my shipping because I had 2 people complain yesterday and say my bids would be higher if I didn't charge shipping. I cannot afford to pay all this shipping since I have NO income. So, if you want to pay $3.00 shipping I will put it in a bubble envelope and it won't be insured, or you can pay the $5.20 and it will go in a priority box and if it is broken when you get it I will replace it. Insurnace at the post office does no good on this stuff. I sent a friend a necklace that was broken when she got it. I went to the post office for refund and they told me that the only way I could get reimbursed was to show them a receipt. I can't do that since I make this jewelry and have no receipt. So, if you win this bid, let me know how you want it sent, and that will be the shipping.

Thank you for giving people the option on the shipping. That way they can decide and you wont get such flack about your decision.
On another note:
I just LOVE this necklace! Great colors. Can you give an approx. size of the stones?
