Lingerie pins were used to hold slip straps in place. They were generally tiny bar pins, plain or engraved, or circle pins, as this one is. The little pin is in very good condition. It has a lovely, aged patina. There are no dings or dents, no staining or discoloration, no damage whatsoever. The clasp is functional, straight, and strong. This little brooch would make a wonderful addition to an antique jewelry collection. It would also make a very nice gift for a young lady.
