Questions & Comments
People need to do all their research before giving you a hard time. The Tibetan Wolf (also known as the Himalayan wolf) and true it IS internationally recognized as an endangered species BUT there is a lot of controversy concerning these very popular necklaces. I think they are a good thing for wolves and the environment...These are called Tibetan Barbarian necklaces and are considered to be good luck. In Tibet, it is said the wolf tooth can take the Spirit to the Heaven. If your tooth is authentic (which it DOES look like it in fact IS really a real wolf tooth) than it was purchased by jewelery manufacturers or craftsmen from legitimate hunters. In Tibet, there are too many wolves and sometimes they can not find enough food, they effect the population of sheep and hunters kill so many as is authorized and contracted every year by the Tibetan Government. They contract these hunters to hunt and kill the certain quantity of the wolf to protect not only the sheep but to PROTECT the wolves from extinction. The ecology of the area depends on these hunters to help make sure the living wolves can have enough to eat without suffering and so the biodiversity in the ecosystem of Tibet continues. There is much controversy concerning what is right and wrong but I love wolves think this is a great auction and a good cause actually. Natives even in our country believed in using the whole animal. It would be a waste if these wolves were just thrown in the garbage. For them to give spiritual meaning to people who own these necklaces, in a way, they live on...and the species is protected.
Wonderful. This makes me very optimistic about auctioning my other wolf tooth necklace. I had decided not too because of all the negatives I was getting. But now with all this wonderful info from you I will. It is very different from this one. and if you do not mind when I do list it can I copy/paste the info you put here for my description?
dont let any of these naive people get to you! ignore the neg. and illicit comments! I am a vet tech and I myself have had to pull teeth from many animals large and small, wild and domestic, for oral reasons to protect the animals from certian infections that could spread to other parts of the body via the blood stream! trust me its actually a priceless gem and would be an honor to wear this piece of jewlery!!! will be bidding for sure!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! I told my husband that I keep getting comments from close minded people. I am very open minded and I do not judge what people do in their own cultures. My husband told me I shoulda to the people that were saying a wolf was killed and blah blah " they did not kill the wolf to get this tooth he is alive there is a wolf somewhere out there missing a tooth and if you are worried about it BID HIGH and win then go find the wolf and give him his tooth back"
I do not know if "they killed him". People automatically think the worst that someone killed this wolf just for his tooth. There are many ways that animals can die. And there are many cultures around the world that Americans do not agree with. It is NOT an American wolf. I am not the kind of person that looks down on someone for how they are forced to live, eat, or supply resources to their community.
GOOD RESPONSE CREATIVEPEAR!!!!!! I 100% AGREE!!!!!! and i am a major animal advocate but love your listings! i fanned you and am watching most of your auctions! i love this and it is VERY true that just because this is real it does not mean someone killed this animal to get this! expecially a tooth!!!! REALLY people?!?! animals loose teeth just like people do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
Thank you k9!!! You do not know how much it means to me for someone to actually stick up for my auctions. I had someone also comment something dumb on my tiger face necklace. And you can go look at my response. and I will fan you back! I am happy you like my listings.
P.S. Sorry some words in my soap box rant up there are missing...I am not illiterate, I promise, my keyboard is sticking because my kids pored a drink in it lol.
It is sooo funny you say that because yesterday my 2yr son decided to pour out his cup of chocolate milk on my computer so it was only about 2 hrs ago when I turned it on to see if it still worked. And :) it does but my buttons are all sticking and I have to really press for my space bar to work.
people collect wolf teeth to make jewelry with all the time.my dad did and no harm came to these animals,my dad got the teeth by finding them in the woods..animals lose teeth just like ppl do.or my dad would go to the reservation animal clink and wolfs that had teeth pulled they would give the teeth to my Dad..my Dad also got Bear teeth like this,he made all kinds of stuff out of them..you keep listing your items, and don't listen to the negitive messages..this are awesome, and look the wolf lives on thru you:):)Awesome Auctions you have..Good Job:)
I have decided that for the winner of this auction I will thrown in an extra necklace. see my auction for..... " Wolf Carved Bone Necklace " for pictures of the necklace I will also send to the winner of this auction. Happy BIDDING!!

So intense - the information is almost as overwhelming as is some of the ignorance from the earlier posts. I'm glad I had the stamina to keep reading..... Beautiful pieces. Good luck with the listings. Fanned back.
Thank you So much. Yeah from the first few posts I was about to unlist the item but the "smart" people and their great comments helped me change my mind! And so far looks like a good thing.
