I wear an 8 to an 8.5 and they are a little big on me. I'd say for a size 9 they are pretty true to size.

I'm gonna be as descriptive as I can lol. I wear an 8-8.5 shoe, while these are a size 9 they fit snug around the sides of my feet. I do have a little bit of a wide foot so I'm pretty sure that's why they fit snug around the sides, yet I still have some wiggle room in the front, they are comfortable for me though (I'm like you, I never buy pointed toe shoes, these were a gift to me). Granted they haven't been worn hardly at all so they are practically new so they haven't been stretched at all. I hope that helps lol :) And thank you
