Sorry I didn't realize comments were here, I had answered everything under the post, oops :) The length of the chain is about 18" if I measured right! Its not so long that the necklace gets lost in your clothes! I hate that!

Thank you for all the compliments and that beautiful little child is my granddaughter! She's now 3 and I'm well...55+! The set I got about 2006 or so, the chain is what my sister calls a display chain, meaning very thin, about 18" if I measured right! And I couldn't start at 100, realized after I set it up, my first auction and apparently that right comes later down the road, o well, live and learn! I don't know if they've been treated or what, I think it just said jade because I don't think at that time in my life I wouldn't have paid for something not natural, you know what I mean, I was/is into real stones and just last couple of years wearing "costume" jewelery. ps the tan in that pic is long gone, can't afford the tanning pricies and we don't get enough sun up here in Washington! I believe these are a very pure Amethyst, as purple jade is color treated, and these are too beautiful! Thanx for listing this!

Thank you for your interest! As you seem to know your gems I would be really curious to know if they are indeed jade as "advertised". It was a jewelery type website, you bid, but with money, everything else I've ever had checked out by a jeweler it was better than stated! I bought my daughter a red jade necklace it said w/gold decoration/saying/symbol and she was at jewelers with a friend, jeweler spotted the necklace, asked to see it and said it was very high grade and I was a very good shopper! But you never know, I'm as honest as the day is long, at least I try to be!

As far as I know it's probably just gold filled, it's the chain that the necklace came with, most of the stuff I got from that place was 10K but I don't want to say better and then be wrong,would rather be wrong and have it be better! Just trying to be as honest as I can!

jade is for good luck for young and older, i have that color and black hoops and pendant an elephant that is carved - i get so many compliments when i wear it, its beautiful and i have the green of course, alot of that, one antique that is 2 pieces from asia, a nurse gave it to me prior to surg for luck, and that started my collection that is too big now, lol, i love that lavendar, i never knew so many colors til while back, but they are stunning on young or older, its good luck, love the whole set, its beautiful.

Fyi- lavendar jade is not dyed, its natural, look it up - call the gem auction show, but jades are not dyed, they are found and carved to be what the person or jeweler wants them to be, so these are not dyed, they are real lavendar jade,,,,,high bid they are worth it,,,if i didnt already have id win this one for sure,,and if u got them for 45, 50 bucks u got a great deal, i paid over a hundred, and sure looked at alot of places for mine, ended up getting at a gemoligist,,,,just an fyi on ur beautiful post,
