When I moved from NC to GA, I had thousands of dollars worth of fabric and other sewing items stolen. I am on a mission to restore my stash, although I'll never get back what was stolen, I'm trying to get as much as possible on here.

That is so sad! And I doubt they even wanted what they got. UGH!! I have a BIG problem with thieves. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Most of my fabrics are 20+ years old. Maybe you had some of these in your collection.

: ) I pulled out several new fabrics to add to this assortment. I wish I had time to sew all the things I want to sew!! And room to store the fabric! LOL It's nice that they are going to homes where they will be appreciated.

I originally had hundreds of yards of upholstery fabric that I had gotten from a store that went out of business. I also had lots of foam, vinyl, sunbrella, embroidery thread, mannequins, sergers, extra sewing machines. etc.... as I used to make boat cushions, dog beds and do reupholstery. So I was devastated when it was all gone. At least I managed to get a sewing machine, an embroidery machine and one mannequin to my new house. I also lost my carpet steamer, exercise bike and ALL of my kitchen and baking supplies. I had a small pet treat business that I ran from my home as well and all of that is gone. I had tons of cookie cutters, recipes, baking pans, a dehydrator, cast iron molds for gingerbread houses and a collection of molds that I had started with vintage molds as well as a collection of really nice cookie jars. It just makes me sick to even think about everything that was taken. I used to show my dogs and my grooming table and all of my dog supplies, my flea market tables, canopy, etc...tens of thousands of dollars worth of things that I had purchased and obtained while I was working as an RN for the past 20 + years, and it's all gone. Now that I'm on disability I will never be able to replace any of it. Thank God I found Listia as this has helped me tremendously with getting fabric which has certainly helped me overcome the depression that was caused by the theft of all of my personal belongings. Sorry to dump all this on here, but I am anxiously awaiting the end of this auction! LOL.
