The Navy commemorative honored U.S. sailors in World War II. Stamp design is taken from an official Navy photograph made at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. The faces of the sailors were retouched to preserve the approach of U.S. stamp designs not to depict living persons. Color of the stamp was chosen to match the blue uniform of the U.S. Navy.

Never Hinged (NH) - a stamp that is in " post office " condition with full gum that has never been hinged .
