An ambitious labor of love from writer/director/star Emilio Estevez, BOBBY attempts to distill the hope, anger, and confusion that gripped the U.S. in the turbulent 1960s. The site is the Ambassador Hotel where Bobby will undergo his final fate. The hotel is a microcosm of class and race, with characters bouncing off each other until the violent conclusion. Estevez purposely confuses the viewer about the purpose of the presentation of characters, but I guarantee that their shocking commonality comes together at the end. Several clips of speeches from the real Bobby Kennedy are shown throughout the film.
