The listing, Very Old Vintage Metal Box with Hindu God ? Goddess? Check it Out! has ended.
This listing is for the metal tin/box pictured. I know practically nothing about this so comments on its origin would be very welcome. As shown in the pictures it is about 3" in diameter. Thanks for looking!
Yeah, I know there is Brahma Vishnu & Shiva, and I think Shiva is "The Destroyer" but I don't know much else or exactly what this is depicting. Thanks for your input!
Nataraja "நடராசர்" or Kooththan"கூத்தன்: , (Hindustani: [nət̪əˈraːdʒə], The Lord (or King) of Dance), is a depiction of the god Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation.
There are many cycles of the Universe being created, maintained and destroyed. Brahma creates, Vishnu maintains and Shiva destroys each cycle of the Universe.
