You can find drivers or whatever the content of the disk is on the manufacturer's webpage, so no need to panic over a misplaced disk. Normally however, all devices should have autoplay built in. I think the disc is only for outdated operating systems that can't load the drivers directly from the cam, but don't quote me on that.

If there was an instillation CD. My husband must have done it and I have no idea where it is now. Is that needed to use the cord to transfer pictures onto the computer? I can look for it if so

Not to use the card, but to use the USB Cord, yes, the computer needs to have the installation disc to download the drivers and program..... if you can find it, that would be great, if not..... I'll still want the camera, thank-you.
