Lol good question. You use it to apply it on the nails an make designs. You can either leave it on on top of your nail polish and seal it with a top coat. Or he cool way to use it is to put a coat of nail polish. Let it dry completely. Then place some nail tape in what ever pattern you'd like. Apply a different color nail polish on top and as soon as you apply it take of the tape carefulky. Quickly, but carefully. Let completely dry and top it with a top coat. Now you have a two color manicure. I like that methos, it makes nails look soo cute lol but I does take some time to get it right lol look up videos in youtube for both fimos and nail tape. You'll understand waaay better what I am talking about :) I really hope this helps. I will be putting up more fimo auctions and little nail art bundles hopefully by tonight.
