Questions & Comments
I really like the look of this. I'm not too magical, but I think I could at least make some nice smelling scents float through my apartment if I won this. =)
Thank you icu812jib for commenting..Just enjoying the magic of life is awesome..heh heh ..Love the cone scents and it is so cute..Thanks sweetie & I'm a fan of yours..Blessings & joy to you~~~~
Yes she will! LOL, she already does!! She has always had the fullest emotions.... just loves so big. =) So true, so true...... A mommy likes to keep her little ones close. I am out every morning waving to her on the bus (and blowing kisses) and am so glad when I get to hold her hand and listen to the exciting news of school as we walk home from the bus stop. Very special times that I cherish!!
That is so wonderful..And listening to all the excited chatter is a huge pleasure! Jewels sprinkled through our lives to be cherished forever! Love, love your comments!
Hmmm.... That must be one nice looking paperweight! =) I've had a few disappointing experiences on Listia, but I keep my head up. Overall it's a great site. But that's only because of the amazing sellers like you!!
Still holding on to my dreams of winning this auction! Many blessings to you, Nancy.
Oh sweetie, I'm sorry to hear of your bad experiences,,I think almost everyone on listia goes through that at one time or another. I know when I started Listia people would say they never received the items when I plainly had tracking & Insurance on it and it showed delivered. Those were the days that I GREW up a bit( and learned to fight back )..Anything to try and scam a newbie out of credits & the items too. Now I take digital photos of the item being packaged, sealed, and then the P.O.!
LOL..Paper weight?? It would work..or maybe as a vessel for scented flowers.. ..lol Never, ever give up my dear friend! Block the mean, rude, dishonest ones and it will be so much better! Massive Blessings to you & bushels of Sunshine too!
My apologies for ending the chain of messages between you and icu812jib but it looks more like an oil lamp than an incense burner. Where'd you get it? Anyways thanks for posting this.
No apologies needed my friend. I'm always thrilled when someone stops by. As for your question it is a incense burner. It came from my Grandmothers estate in the early 60's..so at least I know its fairly old. Thank you so much for dropping in and commenting. I appreciate it greatly. Blessings & Joy to you always~!~~~
My husband always sweetly reminds me that my camera has different settings for the lighting conditions and type of picture I'm taking. Some of these settings are useful, but honestly by the time I scan through the menu to change things the moment of "cuteness" is usually over -- Which is why I typically try my luck with whatever setting the camera's already on! LOL!!!
I'm really excited about this auction!! I'll keep waiting...... =)
I'm so lost on digital camera's..Even after reading the massive directions I'm so lost..heh heh..I purchased one off of listia and the seller neglected to tell me that you couldn't download the driver anymore..I'm still shaking my head over that one..I use it as a paper weight so I wasn't completely fooled..Thank you my friend for commenting. Blessings & Joy to you always~~~~
For items that I am listing I usually take pictures in my laundry room..... Bright light and plain (boring) background. LOL. But it gets more difficult when my kids are the focus because they wiggle!!! I do still try to get snap shots of them when things aren't to busy and crazy though. My children are far from spoiled -- Which is how my husband and I like it. =) But it is nice every once in awhile to have something you "want" in life along with what you need. I feel gratitude is one of the most important virtues a person can have..... Hoping to pass this along to future generations!!
This auction is going well for me, yay!!! **crossing my fingers.....**
LOL..I do try to take some of my photos outside but even then they normally don't turn out that well..Laughing because I too try to get action shots and all I end up with is the landscape..Oh sweetie, thank you for the major kindness in your comments. Blessings & Joy to you & your family~~~~~~
LOL...... Believe me, Hun, I can relate to your camera troubles!! Just yesterday my husband "reset" my digital camera because it didn't seem to be registering any of the settings correctly. I haven't tried it out yet, but I did do my best to listen closely when he was giving me examples of what helps his when his images are turning out blurry. We also determined that the lighting in our living room is just plain horrible for taking pictures -- We don't have an overhead light so we use a lamp on one side of the room so basically it's all unbalanced and the camera's "eye" isn't able to focus very well. There's not really much I can do about that, other than just be aware of it so that pictures are taken in other rooms when possible.
Neither of my daughters have brought up the subject of actual pierced ears. They are both happy at this point with occasionally wearing the cute clip-ons I've gotten for them (one pair is shaped as pencils, and the other has a dangle of a colorful fish) or having small glitter stickers on their ear lobes. =)
Hi Sweetie..You just described my lighting too..lol. Even if I take photos outside they don't really do Justice to the item..heh heh..
I love earrings with a passion..They can brighten up my outlook and oh so easy to change when the mood hits me. Your children sounds so happy with what they have to wear & glittering stickers add a lot of Pizzaz...
My sister didn't have any issues/problems with having hers pierced, but I don't think she wears any type of ear ring anymore (may not even own any). It's interesting how people grow and change throughout their lives. The only reason I even got pierced ears was for my sister!!! My parents had the rule of waiting until age 16 for pierced ears. My sister was 14 and "just going to die" if it didn't happen sooner, so they told her that if we BOTH wanted to go together it would be planned. Well, she (and a couple of her friends) talked me into. So that summer, a month or so before my ninth birthday, I had an experience that I still vividly remember -- Wow, did I ever jump!!
My husband and I each have digital cameras now. Film was always a hassle to get developed, but now it's harder and harder to even find. And yes, expensive!! Digital cameras are nice because they allow you to take a large number of pictures at a time..... No changing film rolls, and no wasted pictures/money if something doesn't turn out. But I still miss the image quality from 35mm cameras. =(
Your comments on ear piercing reminds me of when mine were done..lol. Kenneth my cousin was dating a beautiful girl and she always wanted me to go with them every where..She talked me into getting my ears pierced and wow it scared me too..but I was glad I did!
I don't take digital photos as they never turn out for me..lol..I'm a klutz with a camera sweetie..but I loved my instant camera..
I think busy is a word that describes most mothers (parents).... but all the time and energy put into raising children and developing a family is well worth it!! I try to fill our home with as much sharing, love, happiness, caring, and kindness as possible. Just as every other family, we have days that we struggle, but the important thing is to refocus on what truly matters, make amends, and move forward!!
Clip-on earrings are awesome! I technically have pierced ears (my sister and I both got our ears pierced in our youth) but have had some unfortunate experience with holes partially closing and infections. So now, it's strictly clip-on "pretties" for this lady!! LOL. I have a lot of fun bidding on them even when I don't win. To be honest, the pairs that I have now don't get worn very often. =) For now photography is just a hobby of his, but he does strive to improve in skill and technic. He tells me of his dreams to one day have a photo studio for portraits and family pictures. I think he could be successful I doing that if *when* we become stable enough financially to get started. I must say that he is most passionate about wildlife and nature scenes though!!! Give him a camera and a place to hike....... That is the recipe for his soul's contentment! Me on the other hand, well, I get by okay with taking pictures but there is absolutely room for improvement.
Hmmm...... It seems that someone else is interested in this *lamp*..... I will be keeping my eye on it......
Sweetie you're right, so right..Family & God is the nucleus for me too..I too had my ears pierced young..and I still wear clip on's too..I used to love to take photos but since they cost so much lately haven't done much at all. Mostly photos of Shepherds, Horse and Wildlife..I love the Outdoors...
My husband has Mondays and Tuesdays off.... He normally sleeps I on these days, which I don't mind because I know the poor guy is tired!! It's kind of funny when he is up as the kids get ready for school though -- He basically sits on the couch and watches everyone go by doing this or getting that! LOL!! He can be useful to have around if our youngest son wakes up early (the four-year-old isn't in school yet) because daddy can entertain the little guy while I'm running down the morning to do list. =)
One of my favorite things to "hunt" for around the site is clip-on earrings!! I bid, and bid, and bid, on so many!!! I have only actually won a few pairs on here but I keep trying! I am starting a small collection of these for my girls as well. For me, it's one of the simple blessings in life to be able to share those earrings with my daughters and see their joy in dressing up with them.......... What makes this even better is that since I won them from auctions with free shipping they didn't cost me any money. My husband's hobby is photography so he's always browsing the camera equipment and accessories. Many of these don't offer free shipping, but he uses his best judgment to determine if he's truly getting a good deal on something by winning it here rather that ordering it from elsewhere.
I appreciate the compliment. That's very kind of you to say! I just try to do my part in keeping this world a nice place to spend our Earthly journeys.... I really believe that's what Jesus would want me to do. =) Wishing you a fabulous day!!!
I read BUSY..heh heh..Girl you're amazing & so is your husband..Bless you both for all the time you put into your lives & family..It is fantastic to read comments that your life affirming commitments are filled with sharing, love & God's teachings..
I love that you're interested in clip on earrings..They are so classy & usually vintage. Sets a person in style no matter what you wear.. hope you can add to your collection. Laughing because I couldn't take a photo that will come out to save my life! Your hubby has to be so talented!
Families are one of the main reasons our gracious Heavenly Father puts us on this Earth. We learn so much from them.... Experience joy, overcome trials.... Our spirits grow so much!!
Of course he finds tons of things he wants on here -- Who doesn't?!?! LOL. I stayed up past my bedtime last night as well. I did get up in time to get three students ready for the bus though (including finishing a science project, and packing water bottle/home lunch). Sent them to off with food in their bellies, clean teeth, brushed hair and all the appropriate clothes/shoes for their activities today. Now I don't want to get anything else done!
Mom's are the unsung CEO's of Family, home, hearth..and health! LOL..I know how much effort, coordination, preparation goes into each & mornings seem to be so rapid..moving..That huge feeling of morning done well and with deep satisfaction.. My son sees tons of items he wants on Listia too but so far its mostly clothing, shoes and the like..
Sweetie you're absolutely loving & amazing..The World needs more like you!
Absolutely.... Young people have an amazing ability to learn!! The many "teachers" that come into their lives along the way just have to be diligent in setting good examples. Having their sweet spirits around is so rewarding -- I wouldn't trade it for anything!!
My husband shares this account with me and sometimes teases me a bit about the number of auctions on the watchlist or how many bids I have placed on things. But he loves me. =) And likes to see me happy so overall he is supportive of this hobby (plus, it doesn't hurt that he is able to use any available credits on the auctions that he likes).
Blessings and hugs four times over!! What an Angel you are!!
I wouldn't trade it for anything either! Children are so astounding , amazing and a Blessing that can never be replaced. ROFL!! I'm so thrilled your husband is enjoying Listia also..heh heh..Bet he finds a lot of items that he wants! Way pass my bedtime now so will say good night to you..and of course huge Blessings always~~~Your truly awesome my friend!
I've been getting a full load of challenges from my 5th grader recently. I guess he is just beginning that awkward phase of life...... My, my, am I ever praying for patience!!
HaHa -- Makes me so happy to hear I'm not the only one that can't "afford" all of the terrific things I see on here. I bid on a lot of auctions, but actually win very few. (And I am slow to list things as I prefer to offer free shipping and need to keep our budget in mind!)
I'm winning -- YAY!! This is an awesome listing. Very neat item, and useful too! =)
The Challenges simply keep giving..lol..The part I loved to tell you the truth! Children are amazing and willing to learn if we interact with them.. Stubborn yes, mouthy yes..lol. but oh so loveable always.
Oh..I'm laughing hard as I lose more than I win! My watch list is miles long & I'm so hopeful all the time..lol! I'm so thrilled your winning sweetie!! Super hugs & Blessings to you & your family!
Children are a huge Blessings even with all the Challenges they try to throw at you..I still miss the times cuddling & reading books to them..You never lose that bond no matter what.. LOL! Listia is FUN and so addicting..I see so many things I would love but have a huge problem saving my credits..lol
Sweetie your still winning...Sending blessings and oh so much joy to you & your family!
You, my friend, have a wonderful talent of spreading smiles! Many blessings to you as well. Funny you mentioned sunshine..... I have a Sunshine that just started Kindergarten. I'm not sure if any more joy could fit in that sweet heart of hers!! =)
Oh that is precious..Sunshine will love her hours spent in kindergarten...That tugs at the heart..so hard for Mom to let go for even a little while..or it was for me no matter how many times you go through it..lol.
Isn't it! No matter what happens as long as we can smile at something..we are OK!! LOL...My fingers are crossed for you also sweetie! Blessings Galore, Sunshine & Joy for you~~~~~
