Description

The listing, *~*~*~One Dozen (12) Fresh Japanese Maple Tree Seeds~*~*~*(3 DAYS ONLY!!)~*~*~* has ended.

Six (6) FRESH Japanese Maple Tree Seeds! Japanese Maple Trees are a GORGEOUS small ornamental tree that changes colors throughout the seasons to all different shades of brilliant reds, oranges, yellows and greens and sometimes all colors at the same time! Right now, they are the red color in the 1st and 2nd picture. They are also popular with bonsai tree growers (see last pic, if i can get it up). now i don't know how they do the bonsai trees but if you are interested in trying it, there's information online about Japanese Maples and bonsai growers. Generally these trees grow like the one in the first 3 pictures - approx 15-20 feet up by 15-20 feet out.

*~*~FYI~*~* All my seeds come from fresh living flowers, trees and shrubs, etc. I don't go out and buy my seeds. I work hard at getting my seeds from hikes in the woods, parks, neighborhood, my garden, etc to get fresh seeds and then sun dry them in baskets so they stay fresh when shipped.

*~*~*~SPECIAL NOTE~*~*~*This time we're going to do just a regular auction, NOT tiered. However, i have doubled the amount of seeds to 12, and have added a "Get It Now" credit amount! Happy Bidding!

*~*~*~Japanese Maple Directions:~*~*~*
.................................................................

Break wings off seeds.

Fill a cup with warm water and put seeds in to soak for 24-48 hours.

Peel outer coating off the seeds.

Place in a wet paper towel to germinate.

Keep towel moist but not sopping wet so seeds dont mold away.

When seeds start to sprout, then you can plant them in a pot of really good potting soil.

In the spring, after the last frost, then you can replant outside.

HAPPY PLANTING AND GOOD LUCK!!

It's crazy right? There is so much awesome stuff , like your seeds for instance, that I just want it all. But it's his birthday next month and we're broke, so I'm auctioning off all I can to get as much credits to buy a playstation2 on here. But I'm hoping I have enough to win this as well, because he's been wanting one of these so bad for a few years now. They're just really expensive trees. Thanks for being so awesome and allowing us to try and get them for free.

You would want to plant these in pots and then move them outside next spring correct? I am a member of the Arbor Day Foundation and they sent me 10 baby trees. Planted them all and was so excited....My wonderful husband ran over every one of them with the lawnmower after i yelled at him 3 times where they were at and even had things around them. =( These are beautiful. Will be watching!

if you want them to get a really good start, i'd say that would be best. And im so sorry about your other trees! i've been placing BIG chunks of rocks around my new shrubs and trees just for that reason! if they run over those - their mower is dead! LOL!
