Description

The listing, Empress Tree Seeds With Bonus Seeds has ended.

Royal Empress trees can reach roof height the very first year. A beautiful tree that will complement your home. You will be fascinated by the first year growth rate of up to 10 feet or more.
Plus, see lovely lavender blooms year after year. Put some blooms in a vase - fill your home with their fresh, delicate aroma. You will get 20+ Seeds.
Seeds are small, surrounded by a feathery paper-like hull that helps them to blow in the wind and populate. Cover seeds with a professional potting soil mix. Keep moist and warm--but not too wet. Gradually expose seedlings to bright light, slowly. Once the seedlings are adjusted to light, plant them and watch them grow. The bonus includes 10+ seeds of the Double Purple Datura.Daturas are slow to germinate. Datura are part of the Nightshade family, and are poisonous if injested. To plant them, either cover them lightly with soil, or just place them on soil and they should germinate like that. It's how they germinate in the wild. Keep seeds moist. Daturas are SLOW to germinate, so be patient. In colder climates, it's best to have them in containers, so that they can be shielded from extreme temperatures. Thanks for looking.

Thery are beautiful. I am amazed at how quickly that they can grow. Just remember to slowly bring them into full sun before you transplant them. They can actually "sunburn" if you don't. The leaves turn pale and shrivel up.

Now when you plant these how many seeds would you plaint together?

The first time that I planted any, I planted about 10 (spaced out) seeds in a medium sized cleaned deli container. Out of the 10 seeds, 7 came up. Out of the seven, 6 thrived. Once they get accustomed to full sunlight, transplant them wherever you want. However, they CAN get to be over 70 feet tall, so I wouldn't plant more than one in a particular spot. I think doubling them up would be too much tree in one spot.

I "googled" it for you and found that Empress trees are recommended for the zones 5-11. So, yes, they will grow in Florida. Thanks for the interest.

Thank you so much for the compliment. I want these seeds to grow for whomever gets them. As someone who also bids on items, I want whatever I win to be worth my credits. If the seeds don't grow, they've wasted their credits. My very first win on Listia had to be disputed because after 2 weeks the seller still had the item (I had paid $8 for shipping, in addition to the credits) and I don't want anyone to feel that way toward my auctions. Anyhow, thanks for noticing--fanned you back. I still have more Empress seeds, so there COULD be some in your future :)
