Since there has been a bid placed, you will not be able to change the listing. To start with a higher bid, you will need to specify that under Advanced Options when you list the auction.

Can you please tell me how to get verified? I am currently bidding on an item and the person told me he will keep my credits and not send my item unless I am verified :(
