no its not broken it hooks on from the top of the piece see the two prongs

Yes I'm having a hard time seeing the "clips" also. It looks like the prongs are where the clip should be. Can you please post better pictures of the back. I would really like to bid on this piece but I need to see a better picture. Thanks

there are tow pointed prongs that come down on the back they are very small.
