That is my little piece of gold born to my daughter at a very young only 6 weeks after the Dr found him inside of her with an ultrasound machine thinking she had a cyst she was all of 4'7 and 62lbs when she gave birth and she is an only parent at the hands of a stranger the hand on him is his mama's hand the first time she was able to see him in the NICU 7 days after he was born she never got to touch him the day he was born he was so critical and flown out 45 minutes later then my daughter ended up staying in the hospital she gave birth to him having to go into the OR twice so it took 7 days for them to reunite and she was scared he wouldn't know her but he did, he is very disabled and now 42 months old with cerebral palsy, seizures, he is deaf and legally blind, has a stomach feeding tube he gets nothing by mouth and as I write this they are at Therapy that he goes to 5 days a week to 3 different ones which he has been doing since he was in the NICU he still can't hold his head up or even sit up but he is so precious so yes he's my little bundle of joy since I am blessed to have them living in my home and getting to watch him grown and watch her go from a girl to a young woman overnight until this day she hasn't skipped a beat as his mother she has to be one of the best young hands on mothers for such a special needs child in this world she was a gift to us in turn having a precious gift we truly cherish!

Amazing how such a wonderful gift can come out of something so tragic in her life she may be young but you would think she and her father and I have been through medical school with what we had to learn in the first 54 says of his life in the NICU then endure a 10 month total home quarantine to give him a drug to try to save some of his hearing or he would have had to stay in the hospital for the 10 month treatment "not like we know anyone here haven't met my neighbors and bought my house 9 plus years ago" but we wanted to bring him home so NOONE not even his only Uncle or our parents could meet him until he was right at a year old but the hospital was an hour away from our home and the first 54 days of going there was hard with me being in a wheelchair and her having 2 surgeries right after his birth my husband is like a walking Angel on Earth the Lord truly blessed me by us meeting in middle school he looked past my wheelchair and saw I was a real person and neither of us has ever dated another person we will be married 30 years this Dec but growing up back this all I heard was being in a wheelchair noone would want to date me much less marry me amazing how wrong they were but I can understand because they were only trying to prepare me for real life and many many years ago disabled people weren't as accepted as they are now then having our only grandchild in a wheelchair lets just say we wouldn't have it any other way!
