Souvenir from Mexico
Solid and heavy--made up of tiny pieces of turquoise encased within a resin mold (I believe...best way I can describe it)
The gold paint has been rubbing off over the years, but still makes a great decorative piece or paper weight!
Measures about 3" tall and 7.5" around

I don't know for sure, but I doubt it's super old...it was a gift from Mexico given to me about 8 years ago, I assume from a souvenir shop.

I think is not turquoise, i think is lapis- lazuli (and the gold paint it is pyrite)
