I'm not sure... It says on the box "Issue only one knife per pilot".. It is black. The blade looks sturdy though I'm a female who does not know diddly about knives...
My husband has one though that he carries on him and he really likes the extra compartment with the compass, fishing kit and matches as he says it is some of the stuff that comes in most handy when it comes to survival..

From what I can tell on the box it is really the military issues so it is the really good kind, those are issued to pilots for in case their planes get shot down or whatever else but it is the really good kind

And I own a couple of them, they are really durable they have the indestructible ABS military ballistics plastic handles and an AUS-6 BLADE overall? Really durable I give it a 4/5 star rating lol

Blade is 5 5/8 inch. Overall length is about 9.5"-10.5"
