No it can be played without internet. He just means for online. Anyway For PS2 you had to buy a xtra part and plug in before you could even get online to game with others at the time. PS2 you gotta remember was released so many years ago, Online Gaming and the system are into a whole new way now. The systems come ready to Play online.. No PS2 PS3 or any game has to have Internet to play.

This is a awesome Game, Im def hoping to win it.. I brought my PS2 out of retirement since my xbox360 was stolen(hate thieves) I just dont have anygames, traded them all at gamestop tword XBOX games.. but this is bad ASS!!! Campaign is pretty long! i beat it in 3 days though.
