Silver plated jewelry is very pretty, and can be kept that way if you take care of them.
Don't leave them on when bathing, and keep them clear of cosmetics, and hairspray. At the end of the day, just use a damp cloth and wipe them down, before storing them away. I have a lot of plated jewelry over the years, and they still look like the day I got them.

It is marked 925 only on the closure (that probably is the only part that is sterling Silver)...But, it was packaged as silver plated.
