1980 Beautiful uncirculated Kennedy half dollar beautiful condition. This coin is silver clad. I have had this coin for several years and have never opened the protective case until today so I could take photos.

Just got back home. sorry for the dely in answering your question. I do not see a mint mark and as for condition the photo's tell the story. If you see something it was more than likely on the camera lens. As far as I can tell there is not even a small scratch any where.

This coin has a mirror finish with no flaws that I can see. This is a very nice collector coin.

The spots you see are not on the coin, they were on the camera lens. This coin looks like it just came from the mint.

1980 Kennedy halves are not silver clad. Whether P, D, or S mint mark, they are all composed of copper & nickel.

Clad is a manufacturing method; it does not indicate content.
It means several layers of one metal have been bonded to a core of a different metal to make the coin. Since 1965, ALL US half dollars are of clad composition.
This coin is a "1980 proof copper nickel clad Kennedy half". 1980 halves were NEVER made with any silver content.
But it is still a highly desirable, very nice example of a proof coin.
