It's not overly sparkly. The gems that hang fron the chains are light pink, dark pink, and diamond looking. The butterfly background is a purplish gray and light and dark pink gems highlight it. The chains are more of a matt finish than a shiny finish. More elegant than blingy. Hope that helps. I was sad that the pictures didn't show it's true beauty.

There is 4 inches of chain above the top of the butterfly, then an additional 3 inches of extender chain so you can vary the length. From end to end it is 19 1/2 inches long. hope that helps.
