The listing, Ouija Board with a Tragic Past HAUNTED!? Halloween! has ended.

So here we go. Up for bidding is a Ouija Board. It is 100% complete with box.
Here is a little story behind this thing. I live in a small town in Kentucky. I buy toys from the 80s and 90s and put Wanted ads on facebook. Just last week a lady got a hold of me wanting to sell 2 boxes of Power Rangers. So I went down to check them out. She showed me both boxes full of toys along with this Ouija Board tucked in the side. I told her I wanted all the toys but not the Ouija. She said it was a package deal and did not want the Ouija board back in her garage. She seemed serious. I asked her why and she said it has bad mojo attached to it. Now I am not superstitious at all so I asked her, "how so"? She explained to me that this all happened in the early 90's, her cousin was a cheerful kid but loved to play with his toys. One year he asked his mom to get him a Ouija. So she did. The lady continued to tell me that the next couple of months after purchasing the Ouija board, her cousin became isolated and acted out violently when confronted about this. She said that she was just a kid when all this happened but remembers it well. She said her aunt would say that he stays up at night talking to the Ouija Board. So the Aunt took it away and hid it in the barn. The lady said soon after he became a hateful person. He would hit his mom and torture animals. One night his mother woke up in the middle of the night to hear him talking to himself again. She went into his room only to find him in the middle of the floor with this Ouija Board. His mother fought to take it away from him and threw it away. The next day his mother woke up to find that he had hung himself in the barn. And this Ouija board was next to him. She said her aunt was so grief-stricken that she came to live with her and her family. She said the whole family got together, packed up her entire estate and stored it. These were the only things that didnt sell.

I didnt have enough room to finish the story. But just to let you know, this has been in my car trunk and only been in my house to take a picture. I am not superstitious, but story game me chills. Enjoy.

nothing about ouji boards are a joke and you are just passin on the danger. Until you have had experiences with things that are paranormal it probably sounds like a big joke. i'd take this down before some kid messes with it especially since its this time of year people love to mess with them. You are better off burning it , in all seriousness. It's like a door that once it's open it's just not good.

no offense, but if your trying to get rid of it, why is the starting bid so high? I've also read that getting a board liked this is just asking for trouble, inviting spirits into your life.

There are reports that spring up from time to time of people giving their board away, or trying to destroy it only to have it come back to them years later. If this idea frightens you, there is one ritual you can follow.

Many people will tell you to burn the Ouija board. I strongly reject that advice. Not only does burning the board have the potential to inflict harm upon your person and property, many people believe that burning a Ouija board may create a curse. It's rumored that when a Ouija board is burned it lets loose a loud shriek into the night. Anyone that hears the shriek has less than two days to live. Therefore I suggest that you not burn the board.

One accepted method of destroying a Ouija board is to break it (carefully) into seven pieces. Sprinkle holy water over these seven pieces and then bury them. Be sure to bury it in a peaceful location. A cemetery is probably not the best place.

Another way to get rid of a ouija board, you should cleanse it (salt, holy water, holy oil, etc) and wrap it in or with a neutralizing cloth or object (directly against the board). (By the way, yes the cleansing materials must touch the board directly.) Cleansing the board purifies it as well as temporarily neutralizes it, which is why a strictly neutralizing item or cloth is needed afterwards so that it will not have a chance to reactivate. After you have done all this, you can sell it, give it away, keep it in storage, or just throw it away. (The neutralizing items MUST go with the board so that it is kept neutral and unusable.) Do not, under ANY circumstances, try to destroy the board. No burning, no breaking, nothing! I say this because the ouija board is essentially a portal through which spirits come, and if you destroy it you would possibly be in for a world of negativity. When broken or burned, the portal is not destroyed along with the board -- instead, it is like you've permanently opened the portal and ANYTHING can get through without any hindrance. As long as the board is neutralized and closed, the portal is closed.

I have one myself and it sits on a shelf behind a cabinet door with metal screening along with a negative deck of Tarot cards and antique carved wooden hand mirror that always seems to get finger prints on it no matter how many times I re-wash it. I don't mess with them at all and I have had no problems with this arrangement. I do "Smudge" or clense my place with White Sage or Palo Santo Wood (Holy Wood) regularly so no worries. Yes if you lower the bid them I will bid but that is to high to start with, especially if your wanting to get rid of it. I'll keep checking back. I would love to have it. I had one in my younger days and it was great.
